What is PhoneParental?+

Is PhoneParental free?+
Yes. The Free plan includes 10+ core features at no cost. Premium and Family plans add advanced social insights, more devices and extra tools if you need them.
Which platforms does it support?+
PhoneParental is built for Android phones and tablets. You install the app on your child's Android device and monitor from any web browser on your own phone or computer.
How do I install it?+
Create a free account, open the download page on your child's Android device, install the app, grant the required permissions and sign in. Our download guide walks through each step, and most setups take about five minutes.
Can my child uninstall or disable the app?+
The app is designed with tamper resistance and will alert you to attempts to disable or remove it. We also recommend being open with your child about why it's installed.
Will it slow down or drain my child's phone?+
No. PhoneParental is lightweight and optimised to run in the background with minimal impact on speed or battery.
Can I monitor more than one child?+
Yes. You can add multiple child devices under one account and switch between them in your dashboard. Higher plans support more devices.
Does location tracking work in real time?+
Yes. You can see your child's current location and review their location history, and set place alerts for automatic arrival and departure notifications.
Can I limit screen time and block apps?+
Yes. You can set daily limits and bedtime schedules, and block or schedule individual apps directly from your dashboard.
Will I be able to see messages and social activity?+
PhoneParental provides visibility into calls, texts and popular social platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook and Snapchat so you can stay aware of who your child communicates with.
Is my family's data private and secure?+
Yes. Your data is encrypted and visible only from your account. We never sell your data, and reports are accessible only to you as the parent.
Is it legal to use PhoneParental?+
Parents are generally permitted to monitor their own minor children, but laws vary by country and state and some require informing the device user. PhoneParental is intended only for lawful, consensual monitoring — please follow the rules where you live.
Should I tell my child they're being monitored?+
Yes, we strongly recommend it. Transparency builds trust, works better in practice, and is legally required in many places. Framing monitoring around safety helps children accept it.
What if a feature shows no data?+
The most common cause is a permission that wasn't granted during setup. Re-check the permissions on the child's device, and contact support@phoneparental.com if you're still stuck.
