Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what information PhoneParental collects, how we use and protect it, and the rights and choices you have.

Last updated: 1 January 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how PhoneParental ("we", "us") collects, uses, stores and protects information when you use our website, applications and services (the "Service"). It also explains the choices and rights you have. By using PhoneParental you agree to the practices described here.

1. Two kinds of information

It is important to distinguish between two categories of information PhoneParental handles:

2. Information we collect

Information you provide: account registration details, payment information processed by our payment partners, and any messages you send to support.

Information collected automatically from our website: standard log data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and timestamps, plus cookie data as described in our Cookie Policy.

Monitored data: depending on the features you enable and the plan you hold, data captured from the monitored device, which may include location, call and message logs, contacts, browsing history, installed apps, photos and activity from supported apps. You are responsible for ensuring you have the authority and any required consent to collect this data.

3. How we use information

We use account information to provide and maintain the Service, process payments, communicate with you, provide support and comply with our legal obligations. We use website data to operate, secure and improve our site. Monitored data is processed solely to provide the monitoring functionality you have configured and to display it to you in your dashboard; we do not use monitored data for advertising and we do not sell it.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where applicable law (such as the GDPR) requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of our contract with you to provide the Service; your consent where required; our legitimate interests in operating and securing our business; and compliance with legal obligations. For monitored data, you are the controller and are responsible for establishing your own lawful basis for collecting it.

5. How we protect your data

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss or misuse. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in secured infrastructure. Access to monitored data is restricted to your account, protected by your credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.

6. Data retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with our legal obligations. Monitored data is retained according to your plan and your settings, and you can request its deletion. When you close your account, we delete or anonymize information that we no longer need to retain.

7. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with: service providers who help us operate the Service (such as hosting and payment processors) under appropriate confidentiality obligations; authorities where required by law or to protect rights and safety; and parties to a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this Policy. Monitored data is not shared with anyone other than you, except as strictly required by law.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us through our contact page. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Children's privacy

PhoneParental is intended for use by adults. Our website and account services are not directed to children. Where a parent uses PhoneParental to monitor their own minor child's device, the parent is responsible, as controller, for that monitored data and for complying with applicable laws regarding children's information.

10. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by applicable law.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

12. Contact us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, contact us through our contact page or at support@phoneparental.com.
